Eid ul-Fitr ,  Eid al-Fitr ,  Id-ul-Fitr , or  Id al-Fitr  often abbreviated to  Eid , is a three-day Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month offasting ( sawm ).  Eid  is an Arabic word meaning "festivity," while  Fiá¹r  means "original nature," implying the restoration of one's best human composition. The holiday celebrates the conclusion of the thirty days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entiremonth of Ramadan. The first day of Eid, therefore, falls on the first day of the month Shawwal (Islamic Calander) So, this video was tken at my place last year... It was such a great Celebration... Looking forward for this year too... Hope you enjoy the video.. ;)

This old unfinished mansion, nicknamed Kellie’s Folly, was commission by a wealthy Scottish rubber-plantation owner William Kellie Smith. Seventy Hindu artisans were brought from India to work on the mansion. Smith died of pneumonia in Lisbon in 1926 on a trip back to England and the house was left unfinished.  Now, the imposing six-storey structure with a lift shaft is well tended and attracts a fair number of visitors. It is interesting to walk around the castle and into the rooms, with views of the surrounding countryside, can be seen from the accessible rooftop. An underground tunnel is closed to the public though. In close proximity across the courtyard along a covered walkway, no more than a few yards form the castle, is the remains of their first house.  About 500km form the castle is an old Hindu temple, built by Smith for the Hindu artisans. There is a statue of Smith, with white suit and helmet, among the many figurines adorning the temple.  Getting th

L umut is a small town in the state of Perak, Malaysia, situated about 84 km from Ipoh, 12 km from the town of Sitiawan and it is the gateway to Pangkor Island. It is a quaint little town famous for its beautiful seashell and coral handicrafts. This once little-known fishing town has since become the home base of the Royal Malaysian Navy. A new ferry building was build. There are little souvenir and food stalls.  Tickets can be purchased inside the building although outside there are also a few vendors available. The prices do not differ from each other. A return fare to Pangkor only costs you RM10.00. *price is subject to change. The new Lumut Waterfront is a great place to end your day with an ABC ice-cream and also watch life passing by. The waterfront is nicely designed and has good views over the Dinding's river. If you were plan going to Pangkor via Lumut by driving, there will be a safer place for your car to be parked here. For charges

The cave temple sits on a 12 acre site and was used as early as 1920 as a place of worship. In 1960, the cave became part of an iron mining site operated by the late Mr. Chooi Ah Kee. The mining operation used excavators to enlarge the cave entrance to allow lorry access through the cave to transport loads laden with iron ore. Mr. Chooi started clean up of a small prayer section of the cave, originally named 'Tien Hou Gong'. In 1982, 'Tien Hou Gong' was handed over by the son of Mr. Chooi to a non-profit charitable organization, Kek Look Seah and the cave temple was renamed 'Kek Look Tong'. The committee of Kek Look Seah took on development of the cave by enlarging the cave, as well as reclaiming the swampy area near the rear entrance using soil and earth from a nearby hillock. The floor of the cave has been filled and then paved into a flat surface while parts of the rough cave wall are lined with marble tiling. The impressive stalactites and st

The  Ipoh railway station  is a Malaysian train station located at the south-western side of and named after the capital city of Ipoh, Perak. It serves as the main railway terminal for the state. It is owned by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad, and offers KTM Intercity services, as well as handling freight trains. Designed by Arthur Benison Hubback, it was first constructed and opened in 1935, making it the second concrete station to be constructed in the town. The building also houses the hotel called the Majestic Hotel. Affectionately known as the Taj Mahal of Ipoh by its locals, it closely resembles its Kuala Lumpur sister. As part of KTMB's Rawang-Ipoh double tracking and electrification project which completed in January 2008, the Ipoh station has undergone rehabilitation to not only incorporate modern elements while keeping its historical look, but also accommodate the double track. The Ipoh railway station was initially meant to be a hospital and used before t

A journey back to hometown... Where else?? Other than HOME SWEET HOME - IPOH... Ipoh  is the capital city of Perak state, Malaysia. It is approximately 200 km (125 miles) north of Kuala Lumpur on the North-South Expressway. But I choose Express Train Service known as ETS by KTM Berhad. It's a great experience traveling in ETS as its only take about approx. 2 hours journey from KL Sentral to Ipoh Railway Station. Once you arrived in Ipoh Railway Station, you will be amazed with the building itself as it have been there since the British Colonial Era.  So by having the ETS, it makes your journey easier and safer..
